The Kempsey pays homage to one of Akubra’s first Western hats from the 1950s, celebrating a heritage of craftsmanship and enduring style. With it, we reintroduce the classic Grizzly finish, back in production for the first time in decades. Created with less sanding during the hat-making process, this textured finish delivers a distinctive look rarely seen in the modern Akubra range.
 
With a medium pile and a new Whisky colour, the Kempsey blends classic tradition with modern character. Designed for those who value timeless design and expert craftsmanship, this hat delivers both style and distinction.

PROVENANCE

Born in Australia. Made in Kempsey. It takes 6 weeks to make an Akubra hat, there are 162 steps in the process, passing through 60 pairs of hands.
