"Love it! Inspired others who have also brought the same hat. The intricate work is amazing and love the story of how and where the hat was made in Mexico and then finished off in Australia. "The Eyre Extra Dark Toast is a departure from the straw hats I have purchased from Akubra. I have the green Zephyr from 2 years ago, the Balmoral from last year and now the Eyre, woven from palm leaf. The Eyre is a very different hat compared to the other two. It is a much thicker and perhaps a stronger hat. The color is amazing. Buyers should always buy at least 1/2 size to a full size larger than your normal hat size. It is not the hat that shrinks (and expands) it is the leather rim on the inside. I have 6 Akubras so trust me on this one. Perhaps if you only live in cool climates this is less of an issue. In the desert my hats feel very different from the morning to the afternoon as the inside expands as it gets wet from perspiration and then shrinks as it dries out after taking it off in the evening."
