I do not know if I have worn them thin over 15+ years, but i can tell that this quality is not only sturdier but overall better. There is even advice on how to take care of your companion on a small tag inside now! I also took a gamble with the size, and going one up is definitely a better fit if you are in between. Spice is fantastic as well, it a versatile in between colour similar to grey or bran, but feels much warmer. The horsehair band is just the right amount of flashy.
